| Since I love Dara and I'm bored, I shall update. We had a glorious five day vacation for Thanksgiving. After going with Kat to get her belly button pierced on Tuesday, we left for Colorado Springs at like midnight and ten hours later we were at my brothers house! woo. It is so gorgeous there...when you look out the front you see the Cheyenne Mountains and then the back overlooks the city. His roommate made a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Friday we drove to Eleven Mile Canyon which was amazing. Basically just a bunch of huge rocks and rivers, and a big reservoir at the top which doesn't sound that great but it was if you like nature at all. We all had a great time. Right about now my brother is getting all of his stuff ready and early tomorrow morning he's getting on a plane for like 24 hours and going to Kuwait for like 3 weeks and then to Iraq which completely sucks. I know my worrying isn't going to help anything but it's impossible not to worry. If you could keep him and everyone else that is there in your prayers I would really appreciate it. ~Becky | | |
| Well hey there guys and gals....it's been awhile. Things have been great for the most part. Yesterday was my 18th birthday! YAY! It's still hard to believe. Hmm what's exciting about 18? I am an adult! hehe yea right. I can buy cigarettes...but I'm never gonna smoke. I can legally drive at any time of the night! (not that my parents will extend my curfew but whatever). It was also me and Dave's 6 month anniversary. awww. I had a beautifully decorated locker filled with goodies...The Notebook, a pig pillow (so romantic :) ), and a Big Tex. And I got 18 red, pink, and yellow roses....so pretty! After several wonderful hours at the DMV we had dinner at Chili's, I got my cartilage pierced (scary! ) and then watched Laguna Beach of course! Tonight was our tennis banquet. It was a lot of laughs, and after our final rendition (I dont know if thats the right usage but its sounds good) of My Heart Will Go On, a lot of tears from me and others including James! We got some amazing presents bc we are beloved seniors. I'm so sad that its over but I have tons of great memories. Oh man, growing up and moving on is tough. | HEEEEEYYYY!! I can't believe we start school tomorrow! Summer has been sooo amazing though. Let's see...what exciting things have I been doing since I updated forever ago..My cousin's wedding was awesome and I loved flying. It was great to hang out with some of my cousins. I saw them all in Iowa in July too. My brother was home for a week or so and I hadn't seen him in like 6 or 7 months so we had a blast together. Rascal Flatts concert was so much fun. I didn't think I could love them anymore than I already did, but after that I do! The 24th of July was quite fun thanks to my amazing boyfriend...roses, Build-A-Bear, dinner, ice cream, and the Notebook! What more can you ask for? Kat, Mrs. D., Gill, and I had a great trip to St. Louis for shopping and Six Flags, despite the rain and the 9 hours without food that left us all laughing until we cried. Matt's birthday was fun, and we all laughed until it hurt at Kelley's birthday shindig. The other night we had a little fire and made s'mores at Dave's, watched Laguna Beach, and got in the hot tub. My Taco Bell got rebuilt and opened today! But sadly, the summer must end, but there's tons of stuff to look forward to. We're seniors baby! And of course, the Back to School Dance, Justin's Birthday Party, and Stockton Lake and tennis season with crazy James! Can't wait! I'll see most of you at school tomorrow! ~Becky | | |
| Heeeeeeeyyyyyyy! It's been awhile! I had an amazing time at my nursing camp...met a lot of cool ppl, learned a bunch of cool things, saw tons of crazy stuff. It was a great experience. Since then i have just been hanging out, working a big eight hours a week, playing some tennis and whatnot. At about 4:30 this morning (which is in just a few short hours!) I gotta get up and go to the airport! I have never been on a plane before! I am super excited. My cousin is getting married this weekend so mi madre y yo are going to the wedding in Kentucky. It should be filled with tons of family fun! Hopefully I will have service so I can call and chat with some of you but I think its kinda in the middle of nowhere so I'm not sure. But I shall return Monday for fun Shakespeare in the Park and then the next day is Veronica's Vivacious...my life would be complete if only there was a word that means party that starts with a V. Ah well it will be good anyway. Oh my goodness! And amazing news! I purchased my Rascal Flatts tickets today and bought myself a pink cowboy hat! I am so excited! | Why is it that I am seventeen years old and I have never been in a situation where I don't know anyone and don't know what I'm doing? I have never moved, never started a new school without knowing anyone, nothing like that. And now I'm going to spend 4 days and nights somewhere with complete strangers! What if they're crazy? What if they think I'm crazy? I dont want to freak out too much because I'm sure it won't be too bad, but hopefully if I get a little scared and expect the worst, then it will be ok. I will miss you all! You better miss me too, a least a little! Try not to have too much fun without me! I'll be back Thursday! ~Becky | | |
